How to see what is going on in your Ceros

Have you ever wondered how to check to see if your cards are configured? How about to see what happens when you make a call? This quick guide will show you how to monitor the various aspects of you PBX. Three main monitors include: asteriskcli, zttool, and ztmonitor

The AsteriskCLI is the main asterisk command line interface. It allows you to look at registered extensions, channels that are in-use, and can output call information if configured properly.  To access the AsteriskCLI, enter the command asterisk -r.

The zttool shows the current status of the Zaptel interface cards plugged into the computer. It displays values like Current Alarms, SyncSource, Tx/Rx Levels for each Zaptel interface.

The ztmonitor monitors a specific zaptel channel. It gives you a visual representation of the sound strengths and makes it easy to see if the received or transmitted signals are too high or out of balance.
