Setting the Order of Inbound/Outbound Routes

Introduction

In the event that a Zaptel group is not in the order you want inbound/outbound trunks to be used, then this article should help.

Information

If you want to order the use of your channels in a particular way, then use the following values for your group:

g - use channels in a sequential ascending manner (1->2->3->...->n)
G - use channels in a sequential descending manner (n->n-1->...->1)
r - use channels in a rotary ascending manner (3->4->1->2->)
R- use channels in a rotary descending manner (3->2->1->4->)

Put the letter of your choice in front of the number of the group you wish to use.  For example, if you want g0 to be used in a rotary ascending manner, you would replace g0 with r0.

In the event the order you wish to use channels is not one of the four above.  You will have to create a trunk for every channel, and put them in the order you wish to use them in the inbound/outbound route they will be used in.
